A former employee of PenRad, a Buffalo, Minn.-based medical device company, has pleaded guilty to 10 counts of “theft by swindle” for stealing more than $900,000 from the company for her own personal use.

According to a report from the Minnesota Star Tribune, Karen J. Breyette was sentenced to more than five years in prison and ordered to pay $924,770.78.

Breyette was hired by PenRad in 2008 and began stealing from the company just five months later.
