IBM completes $1 billion acquisition of Merge Healthcare

IBM announced this week that the company has officially completed its $1 billion acquisition of Merge Healthcare.

As part of the deal, which was first announced back in August, Merge shareholders will receive $7.13 in cash per share.

IBM has said Merge will become a big part of the company’s Watson Health business unit.
