MD Anderson Cancer Center signs deal with Elekta
The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center announced this week it has signed a deal with Elekta, a radiation therapy technology company based out of Stockholm, Sweden, to acquire several products and services.
The deal includes Elekta Infinity linear accelerators, high-dose-rate brachytherapy afterloaders, software, and maintenance services.
“As a world-renowned cancer center, MD Anderson has been a technology leader in managing the disease,” Bill Yaeger, Elekta executive vice president, North America region, said in a prepared statement.
