MEDNAX acquires Chattanooga-based Associates in Diagnostic Radiology

MEDNAX has announced the acquisition of Associates in Diagnostic Radiology, a privately owned radiology practice located in Chattanooga, Tennessee.

Associates in Diagnostic Radiology, first established in 1974, provides diagnostic imaging, interventional radiology, neuroradiology, pediatric radiology, neuro-interventional radiology, body imaging, musculoskeletal imaging and nuclear medicine services. 

“Our strategic partnership with MEDNAX will greatly enhance the delivery of our services and offer continued, long-term growth,” Martin Simms, MD, president of Associates in Diagnostic Radiology, said in a prepared statement. “We look forward to the many benefits of joining a top national practice and collaborating with our colleagues across the country to provide cutting-edge, high-quality care.”

This is MEDNAX’s eighth acquisition in 2018. Following the completion of this cash acquisition, MEDNAX-affiliated radiology practices will read more than 11 million studies annually.
