Ohio imaging groups to close as radiologists move to Columbus Radiology

Columbus Radiology is scheduled to begin providing imaging services to Mercy Health-Cincinnati hospitals on Sept. 29, and the move has already had significant implications throughout Ohio.

The Cincinnati Business Courier reported this week that four imaging groups from the Cincinnati area—Anderson Radiology Associates, Millennium Radiology, NuRay Radiologists, and Diagnostic Radiology—will now close after losing dozens of radiologists to Columbus Radiology.

According to the report, the radiologists made the decision to join Columbus Radiology so they could continue their working relationships with Mercy Health-Cincinnati patients.

Charles McRae, Columbus Radiology CEO, told the Business Courier that Professional Radiology, another imaging provider for Mercy Health-Cincinnati hospitals, is not part of any new deal and will remain a completely separate entity.
