RSNA R&E Foundation awarding $4M in funding in 2018
The RSNA Research and Education (R&E) Foundation announced Wednesday, July 11, that it is awarding $4 million in grants in 2018.
Thirty-five percent of grant applications are being funded. Grant recipients come from 54 different institutions.
“We are extremely appreciative of the generous contributions from individuals, private practice groups and our industry partners who make the work of the R&E Foundation possible,” N. Reed Dunnick, MD, chair of the R&E Foundation Board of Trustees, said in a prepared statement. “Because of their wise investment in our specialty, we are able to fund promising research and education initiatives that seed the future of radiology.”
The RSNA R&E Foundation also awarded $4 million in grants in 2017. Since 1984, the foundation has awarded $60 million in funding to more than 1,450 research projects. Ninety-four percent of donations to the RSNA R&E Foundation go toward funding grant programs.
