10 ‘elite’ radiology residents awarded scholarships to attend ACR summit
Ten radiology fellows and residents have been awarded scholarships to attend the American College of Radiology (ACR)’s Leadership Institute Summit this fall, the ACR announced this month.
The scholarship recipients are set to attend the ACR’s seventh annual event between September 7 and 9 in Wellesley, Massachusetts—the same state where two of the selected radiologists practice, according to a release. Others hail from Georgia, North Carolina, Texas, Maryland, New York, Virginia, Missouri and Canada.
The RLI aims to provide both leadership and business management training for radiologists of all skill levels, the ACR said.
“The Radiology Leadership Institute is pleased to award these scholarships to this elite group of promising future radiology leaders,” Frank Lexa, MD, MBA, the chief medical officer for RLI, said in the release. “These 10 individuals were selected from a remarkably competitive group of candidates. They represent the future of our profession and we are proud that they will receive state-of-the-art training from us at the RLI Summit to build their skills and accelerate their leadership development.”
