2014 Best in KLAS: DR Systems ranks #1 for radiology

SAN DIEGO, CA - DR Systems (www.drsys.com), a leader in healthcare imaging and information technology, announced its recognition as the 2014 Best in KLAS vendor for Radiology. 1 The ranking was independently determined by KLAS Research, a firm which monitors vendor performance from over 4,500 hospitals and 2,500 clinics.

Providers nation-wide gave performance feedback on their radiology information system (RIS) software which provides patient tracking, resource scheduling, results reporting, and image tracking for patient radiological data.2Users remarked that Unity RIS is so "tightly integrated with the PACS" that users "can hardly make a distinction between the two products." DR Systems also received high marks as a vendor that is "very hands on, and they very much want us to succeed using their system."3 Of the providers surveyed, 90% would buy Unity RIS again, 92% consider the solution part of their long-term plans and 93% felt that DR Systems keeps promises regarding service and support.3

"Recognition as a top-performing healthcare vendor by KLAS Research is an honor made possible by our customers," said CEO and Chairman Dr. Murray Reicher about the company's latest award. "Year after year, our customers provide feedback that drives not only DR Systems, but also the entire industry towards innovation and usability. We are proud that we continue to be highly regarded by our customers."

The company continually releases improvements to its successful portfolio of solutions. This year, DR Systems will roll out Unity R11 which includes enhancements and major features for the company's RIS, PACS, and CVIS. Among the R11 offerings for Unity RIS are a new DR Scheduler and expanded patient and physician engagement tools, incorporating HTML 5 and RESTful web architecture.  A beta version of R11 has already been deployed at a select number of customer sites.
