ACR names Chatfield vice president for quality and safety after Wilcox retires

Mythreyi Bhargavan Chatfield, PhD, is the new American College of Radiology (ACR) executive vice president for quality and safety, the ACR announced this week. Chatfield is currently serving as the organization’s senior director for data registries.

Chatfield succeeds Pamela W. Wilcox, who is retiring after 28 years with the ACR. The change is effective Dec. 18.

“Mythreyi Chatfield brings a strong understanding of the changing dynamics associated with providing medical care and the new paradigm physicians are facing as health care delivery focuses on quality outcomes and value for the patient,” William T Thorwarth Jr., MD, ACR CEO, said in a statement. “She is committed to taking a proactive approach on the key issues affecting radiology.”

Chatfield has been with the ACR since 2001, and spent time as the director of research before her role as senior director for data registries.
