The Journal of the American College of Radiology (JACR) and the American College of Radiology’s Harvey L. Neiman Health Policy Institute have collaborated on a present for readers this holiday season: a special December issue of the JACR featuring articles by nonradiologists.
“Nonradiologists’ Perspectives on Health Services Research and Policy in Radiology” is an open-access issue, and it was edited by Richard Duszak Jr., MD; Danny R. Hughes, PhD; and Ruth C. Carlos, MD.
“Data generators are mostly health economists and health services researchers. Visionary physicians understand the need to familiarize themselves with this literature,” the editors wrote in the issue’s introduction. “Without these perspectives, they cannot counter inaccurate or incomplete information or support well-conducted studies that capture the full value of clinical imaging.”
