Imaging systems provider Carestream Health announced this week that Jianqing Bennett has been named president of its digital medical solutions business unit. The new position is effective immediately.

Bennett will be responsible for research and development, manufacturing, marketing, sales, and service related to Carestream’s healthcare information solutions and imaging systems. Previously, she was the company’s vice president of global medical sales.

“Jianqing Bennett has broad, multi-functional experience and deep knowledge of the global medical imaging and IT markets,” Kevin J. Hober, Carestream Health CEO, said in a statement. “As the head of Carestream’s global x-ray systems business segment, Jianqing introduced many innovative new products and led Carestream to the number one position in digital projection x-ray.  As the leader of Carestream’s global medical sales and service, she enhanced Carestream’s customer focus and oversaw improvements to our customer experience. I’m confident that Jianqing will continue and strengthen our focus on delivering meaningful innovation and an outstanding customer experience.”

Bennett had extensive experience with General Electric before joining Carestream Health, working in sales and radiography product commercialization.
