RBMA announces goals for 2016 and beyond
The Radiology Business Management Association (RBMA) announced this week that it has chosen four “strategic goals” for 2016 and the years ahead.
Those goals are: “Growing membership through enhancing the value of the RBMA;” “restructuring the RBMA governance plan for more nimble, focused and empowered leadership;” “ensuring continued financial viability;” and “improving RBMA’s high-value data service for the benefit of members and the association’s advocacy efforts.”
Suzanne B. Taylor, president of the RBMA Board of Directors, said in a prepared statement that the organization has always tried to stay current and adapt to changes in the radiology industry.
“Uncovering the opportunities for the RBMA to continue to grow and evolve in response to key trends and issues in the radiology space is vital for our future success,” Taylor said. “The RBMA has been a dynamic responsive organization for more than four decades. The drive to continuously improve is simply in our DNA. These four strategic goals were chosen because they represent high-value targets that will let us achieve positive changes rapidly.”
The RBMA will assess its board of directors, committees, and task forces to see what can be improved and make the organization more effective. In addition, it will be “taking a critical look” at its own bylaws, policies, and processes.
“The RBMA is here for the benefit of its members, and we want to make sure we reflect regularly on how we can maximize value for them and enable more members to become involved with leading their association,” Michael Mabry, RBMA executive director, said in the same statement.
The RBMA said it will keep its members informed of organizational changes through email, its monthly magazine, chapter meetings, and national conferences.
