RSNA announces new editor of Radiology

The Board of Directors of the Radiological Society of North America (RSNA), announced that David A. Bluemke, MD, PhD, MsB, will become the new editor of Radiology in January 2018.

Bluemke currently leads the Radiology and Imaging Sciences at the National Institutes of Health (NIH) Clinical Center as radiologist-in chief and is a senior investigator at the National Institute of Biomedical Imaging and Bioengineering (NIBIB). Dr. Bluemke will also teach as a professor in the Department of Radiology at the University of Wisconsin – Madison School of Medicine and Public Health effective July 1, 2017.

“As editor of Radiology, David will provide visionary leadership. He brings to the position a wealth of knowledge and experience, coupled with innovative ideas that will enhance appeal for the readers and further elevate the journal’s impact factor,” said Vijay M. Rao, MD, chair of the RSNA Board of Directors. “It is an exciting time for Radiology.
