Advocate Christ Medical Center to install new Accuray radiosurgery system

Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, Ill., is creating a treatment facility that will house a CyberKnife Robotic Radiosurgery System developed by Accuray Incorporated. The $3.7 million CyberKnife consists of a lightweight linear accelerator mounted on a robotic arm and an image-guided system that tracks the tumor's exact location throughout the treatment procedure and is capable of making adjustments in response to patient and tumor movement.
