RBMA launches new program to recognize practices committed to advancing radiology

The Radiology Business Management Association (RBMA) is launching a new Business Excellence Program to recognize radiology practices that have demonstrated a commitment to high quality and advancing the business of radiology.

According to a recent RBMA press release, the program certifies that radiology practices holding this recognition are in good standing as an active member of the RBMA and committed to training with the latest advancements in care quality, patient satisfaction, business management and regulatory compliance.

Only RBMA member organizations that send at least one representative to the RBMA’s annual educational meeting, PaRADigm, may earn the seal of Business Excellence, according to the release.

The RBMA will award the first Business Excellence-recognized practices in April 2019. Practices will be listed at the PaRADigm conference and on the RBMA website as well as receive a certificate and electronic badge to add to their business website.

Existing and new RBMA members have until April 14, the start of the four-day PaRADigm conference, to earn the seal of Business Excellence recognition.

“Radiologists and technologists deciding the best place to practice, patients wanting the best possible medical imaging, physicians who order radiology tests and procedures, and many more groups have told us about the confusion they sometimes face determining which radiology practice to work with” RBMA Executive Director Bob Still said in a prepared statement. “As the nation’s leading professional organization for radiology business management, we realized that we have an excellent opportunity to help clear up some of this confusion while at the same time letting our most active members shine for the extra effort they put into advancing quality and expertise in the business of radiology.”
