$61 million imaging study launches in Britain

A $61 million health imaging study launched this week in Britain, aiming to “transform the way scientists study a wide range of diseases, including dementia, arthritis, cancer, heart attacks and strokes.”

The study secured funding from Britain’s Medical Research Council, the Wellcome Trust, and the British Heart Foundation. It is set to involve imaging of 100,000 individuals.
