The company will also put on a presentation at the conference August 3, focused on the Consolidated Appropriations Act and its impact on digital radiography. Fujifilm Digital Radiology and Women’s Health Strategic Marketing Director Rob Fabrizio will lead the discussion about what the new law could mean for payments and other business matters. The meeting will count for one credit with the American Society for Radiology Technologists.
And as with other vendors at the conference, Fujifilm will have its new products on display. According to a statement, the company is releasing in August the FDR D-EVO GL and the second generation of the Virtual Grid.
The FDR D-EVO GL is “the world’s first long length DR detector.” The machine uses a low-dose single exposure to capture images within a 17-inch by 49-inch frame. The update to the Virtual Grid is an image processing solution that corrects for scatter radiation and improves quality for images that weren’t taken with a grid.
