Hospital employee arrested after filming female patient undress for MRI
A ward boy working at a hospital in Pune, India—roughly three hours southwest of Mumbai—was arrested and charged for filming a female patient changing her clothes for an MRI scan, according to a report published online Jan. 27 by The Times of India.
Lakesh Lahu Uttekar, 25, was arrested on Saturday, Jan. 26, after the female patient—who underwent an MRI for abdominal pain—found Uttekar’s mobile phone in her hospital changing room and found a video of her undressing for her exam.
The patient and her husband immediately filed a complaint to the Koregaon Park police in Pune, an official told The Times.
Uttekar was charged under section 354 of the Indian Penal Code (i.e. assault or criminal force to woman with intent to outrage her modesty), according to the article.
