MRI at center of Notre Dame lawsuit
Former Notre Dame linebacker Douglas Randolph is suing the university for allegedly concealing the results of an MRI originating from a hit he suffered during a practice in 2015. The lawsuit claims Notre Dame did not provide the results to Randolph’s MRI after experiencing “numbness in his upper extremities” and was told to continue practicing.
"If he had been told the truth about the results of this MRI scan, his football career would have ended on that date and all subsequent injuries and permanent damage he has endured would have never occurred," the lawsuit states.
Randolph is diagnosed with spinal stenosis and, according to the lawsuit, may have permanent nerve damage in his neck.
