Toshiba MRI Scanner Garners FDA Approval

Toshiba today announced that it has received Food and Drug Administration (FDA) clearance for its Vantage Titan™ 3T open-bore MRI scanner. The system features Pianissimo, a noise-reduction technology developed by the vendor and said to minimize exam noise by up to 90%. It also has a 71-cm (28-inch) wide semi-open bore, enabling easier scanning of bariatric patients and reducing claustrophobia.
