Kentucky hospital installs three new Carestream X-ray systems
Murray-Calloway County Hospital in Murray, Ky., recently upgraded some of its radiology equipment, installing two DRX-Revolution Mobile X-ray Systems and a DRX-Ascend system, all produced by Carestream.
“Our nine-bed surgical suite has a full schedule of patients who need vascular, orthopaedic, bariatric and other types of surgery,” Heidi Hordyk, Murray-Calloway County Hospital director of radiology, said in a prepared statement. “One of our DRX-Revolution systems is dedicated to surgical patients and is continuously in use. This system allows surgeons to review images in seconds, delivers excellent image quality and has dramatically reduced dose.”
The second DRX-Revolution system is for emergency room patients and inpatients, while the DRX-Ascend system was installed for general X-ray imaging.
In the statement, Hordyk praised Carestream’s preventative service program.
“Carestream’s service team remotely monitors the performance of all three imaging systems and can detect and fix problems before patient care is impacted,” he said.
