Skyline Medical announces new marketing deal with ARIN

Minnesota-based Skyline Medical, manufacturer of the STREAMWAY System fluid disposal device, announced this week that it will be marketing its products and services to medical professionals through a new partnership with the Association for Radiologic & Imaging Nursing (ARIN).

ARIN, founded in 1981, represents nurses in fields such as diagnostic radiology, nuclear medicine, MR, and radiation oncology. Skyline will be specifically targeting professionals performing paracentesis and thoracentesis procedures.

According to the terms of the deal, Skyline will be sponsoring ARIN while ARIN provides Skyline with access to nurses in the appropriate fields.

Josh Kornberg, Skyline Medical president and CEO, said he sees this partnership having an immediate impact on the company.

“Our research has shown that most radiology and imaging rooms do not currently use, nor are they aware of automated fluid disposal technology, despite the major potential safety and cost benefits,” Kornberg said in a statement. “As it is the nurses and technologists that often perform these procedures and can help influence purchasing decisions, we expect our partnership with ARIN to create new sales opportunities.”

Skyline sales representatives will be attending the ARIN Spring Convention in Vancouver, Canada, on April 3, giving product demonstrations to attendees.

Skyline Medical was previously known as BioDrain Medical, officially changing its name in August 2013.
