Adorable charity alert: Student's nonprofit donates stuffed bears to hospitals

At a young age, Sami Newman was scared of getting an MRI … until someone gave her a stuffed bear, which helped calm her down.

Newman, now a high school student, has turned that experience into a nonprofit organization. Mr. I Children’s Charity donates special “Mr. I” teddy bears to participating hospitals.

"I saw kids with far worse problems," she said, as quoted by the Chicago Tribune. "I told my mother that I wished they could have a Mr. I of their own."
