Ala. radiology tech charged with sexual abuse of patients

A radiology technologist at Bryan W. Whitfield Memorial Hospital in Demopolis, Ala., was arrested last week for allegedly committing sexual acts on at least two patients.

51-year-old Leland Bert Taylor faces charges of first-degree sodomy and first-degree sexual abuse, according to a staff report by the Tuscaloosa News.

Taylor had been an employee at the hospital for more than three years.

The investigation is ongoing, and more charges could be added at a later date, according to Tommie Reese, Demopolis chief of police.
