BRIT Systems introduces a new concept in reading services with the Collaborative Radiology Pool

DALLAS, TX, November 25, 2013 – BRIT Systems introduces the Collaborative Radiology Pool (CRP), a novel concept in reading services that creates new opportunities for radiologists and radiology practices. CRP is the first joint offering between BRIT Systems and Imaging Advantage, LLC that brings together the clinical expertise of IA with the technological innovation of BRIT.  BRIT will highlight CRP at the annual meeting of the Radiological Society of North America (RSNA) in booth #2407, November 30 to December 4, in Chicago.

CRP provides the marketing, technology and professional services that enable radiologists to either submit studies to be read by approved/ credentialed radiologists in the pool or read studies from the pool for those sites where they have been approved / credentialed.  Other services and utilities can also be utilized, such as the concierge services for providing 24 x 7 service level tracking, billing, and shared worklist tools for private practices.

CRP is dynamic—it can be used for overflow work, for night reading, backup support, specialty reading or for second opinions. Radiologists may join the CRP and read studies from the pool as well as contribute studies to the pool. There are no minimums or monthly requirements, nor are radiologists required to ever put studies into the Pool.

“In a today’s healthcare environment, radiologists are faced with declining reimbursement, consolidation, and new payment models that are reshaping the future of radiology services,” says Shelly Fisher, President of BRIT Systems. “CRP offers an array of services—including business modelling, load balancing, and operational efficiencies—and workflow tools derived from our existing remote reading solution, Roentgen WorksFlow.  So radiologists can focus on providing reading services and we hope achieve their professional and lifestyle goals.”
