College apologizes after using inappropriate language to promote breast cancer awareness
Healthcare providers are always working to improve patient awareness and engagement when it comes to breast cancer screening—but raunchy emails don’t appear to be the answer.
The Office of Health Services at Brenau University’s Women’s College in Gainesville, Georgia, sent an email to more than 1,000 students as part of its breast cancer awareness efforts using phrases such as “cop a feel” and “ring the boob,” according to reporting from WSB-TV in Atlanta.
The school then sent another email apologizing for the message within one hour of sending the original email.
