Strategic Radiology seeking independent groups for affiliate program

Strategic Radiology (SR) has announced that following a successful pilot program, its Affiliate Program is now open for independent radiology groups interested in collaborating with like-minded groups throughout the United States.

In November 2014, the company recruited seven radiology groups to be its very first affiliate members. Those groups were given access to SR’s products and services, which included the SR Group Purchasing Organization, the SR Patient Safety Organization and a web-based forum for sharing best practices.

“The success of the Affiliate Program is significant because it clearly demonstrates the value SR brings to independent practices that share the organization’s vision of independence, clinical quality excellence, as well as patient safety,” Arl Van Moore, Jr, MD, SR CEO, said in a prepared statement. “The caliber of the groups that joined under this pilot Affiliate Program has brought added value to SR through their unique practice infrastructures, ideas and innovations, irrespective of size or geographic location.”

Colin O’Brien, MD, president of Radiologic Medical Services in Iowa City, Iowa, said being a part of the program has been very beneficial for his group.

“Our participation with SR through the Affiliate program has exceeded our expectations and has proven worthwhile for our group in a variety of ways,” O'Brien said in the same statement. “I highly encourage groups that share SR’s values to seriously consider aligning with Strategic Radiology. SR provides the resources necessary to progress to the next level of radiology and become more prepared for the transitions happening within the practice of radiology."

SR said interested radiology groups can reach out by sending an email to rbrown@strategicradiology.org. More information is also available on the company’s website.
