ASRT announces plans to celebrate centennial in 2020
The American Society of Radiologic Technologists (ASRT), first founded in 1920, has announced how it plans to celebrate the association's centennial in 2020.
The plans include a new commemorative logo, built around a stylized “100,” and an expanded annual meeting in Albuquerque, New Mexico, June 24-28. Two books on the association will also be released, and the ASRT Museum and Archives is scheduled to feature new displays, exhibits and films for attendees.
“It’s my honor to lead ASRT into this historic milestone year,” ASRT President Stephanie Johnston, MSRS, RT (R)(M)(BD)(BS), said in a prepared statement. “The positive impact our organization has made over the past century is undeniable. ASRT still leads the way in championing patient safety, spearheading high-quality education and improving the professional status of all medical imaging and radiation therapy personnel. I’m so proud to celebrate ASRT’s enduring legacy.”
More information on the upcoming annual meeting, the 2020 ASRT Educational Symposium and Annual Governance and House of Delegates Meeting, is available on the association’s website.
