Sectra 'Best in KLAS' among PACS vendors; Agfa, 3M, Fujifilm and Nuance also make imaging list
KLAS Research released its 2024 list of the best radiology vendors on Wednesday, with Sweden-based vendor Sectra again leading the picture archiving and communication system category. Others topping the list in imaging include Agfa, Fujifilm, Nuance and 3M.
This is the 11th year in a row that Sectra has won the award for PACS products handling 300,000 or more studies per year. The company also scored Best in KLAS for small systems (processing fewer than 300,000 studies annually), which it also won in 2023.
"These awards showcase our excellent employees who continuously go above and beyond to meet customer needs,” Marie Ekström Trägårdh, executive VP of Sectra AB and president of Sectra Imaging IT Solutions, said in a Feb. 7 announcement.
Meanwhile, in other radiology-related categories:
- Nuance PowerShare was named Best in KLAS in the image exchange category.
- 3M M*Modal Fluency was No. 1 among speech recognition software used in front-end imaging.
- Agfa Healthcare’s Enterprise Imaging Xero Viewer was recognized among universal viewers utilized in the specialty.
- And Fujifilm Synapse VNA (TeraMedica) won Best in KLAS among vendor-neutral archive products.
The Best in KLAS report is aimed at recognizing software and service companies “who excel in helping healthcare professionals improve patient care.” Rankings are based on feedback from thousands of healthcare providers across the U.S.
“Winning a Best in KLAS award, therefore, is not just about recognition; it shows the trust and confidence that healthcare providers place in the winning vendors,” Adam Gale, CEO of Pleasant Grove, Utah-based KLAS Research, said in the same announcement. “It also helps validate each vendor's commitment to innovation, quality and customer satisfaction.”
