ENDRA Life Sciences, GE Healthcare to collaborate on new ultrasound technology

ENDRA Life Sciences announced this week that it will collaborate with GE Healthcare on the development of its Thermo Acoustic Enhanced UltraSound (TAEUS) technology.

TAEUS will “enable existing ultrasound systems to visualize tissue function, composition, and monitor a variety of therapeutic interventions at the point of care.”

GE Healthcare’s role in the collaboration is to provide equipment, advice, and help introduce its customers to ENDRA.

“We are thrilled to partner with GE, the ultrasound market leader, to help us accelerate the development and commercialization of ENDRA's TAEUS™ technology” Francois Michelon, ENDRA CEO, said in a prepared statement.

“GE has a long history of bringing meaningful innovation to the market, in healthcare and other sectors,” Brian McEathron, GE Healthcare vice president and general manager of radiology and vascular ultrasound, said in the same statement. “We believe that ENDRA's technology has the potential to bring significant new capabilities to ultrasound–which aligns well with GE Healthcare's mission of broadening access to high-quality, cost-effective healthcare. We're very excited about working with ENDRA.”
