Former OSU radiologist receives $100,000 settlement for alleged age discrimination, harassment
Nathan Hall, MD, a member of the Ohio State University (OSU) department of radiology from 2006 to 2014, has reached a $100,000 settlement after accusing the department’s leadership of age discrimination and harassment. Hall was 41 at the time of the alleged discrimination.
Hall first filed a complaint against OSU and radiology department chair Richard White, MD, in 2013, according to reporting by The Lantern. He claimed he was treated negatively due to his age. Hall then resigned in 2014 when OSU said it found no evidence of his accusations.
As a part of the settlement, OSU does not admit liability. In a statement provided to The Lantern, the Ohio State Wexner Medical Center, where Hall worked, said both parties “felt this settlement was a fair resolution.”
