Sectra inks $16M enterprise imaging contract with large Midwest provider

Vendor Sectra has inked a nearly $16 million enterprise imaging contract, with its solution now covering most of the Midwest, the company announced Monday.

The deal is with an unspecified radiology provider spanning multiple states, operating more than 20 sites that handle 2 million-plus medical images per year. Sectra said the customer will initially use its enterprise offering in radiology with the potential to expand into other specialties.

"Collaborating across sites and providing efficient radiology workflows are needed to cope with the increasing imaging volumes,” Isaac Zaworski, president of Sectra Inc., said in a March 4 announcement.

Transitioning to a single enterprise solution will allow the provider to accelerate access to images and streamline radiology operations, Sectra noted. The Linköping, Sweden-based company signed the deal in its fiscal third quarter, worth about $15.7 million, of which $14.3 million is guaranteed. It includes on-premises installation along with five years of support and maintenance.
