The Anthem breach: Lessons for radiology?

Last week health insurer Anthem announced that hackers had accessed a database containing the personal information of up to 80 million people. The insurer reported that the breach exposed names, birthdays, addresses and social security numbers and that it’s likely that tens of millions of records were stolen. Anthem isn’t sure how the breach occurred, but said it was the target of a “very sophisticated external cybertattack.”
