The 101 Largest Radiology Practices of 2013

The consolidation trend gathered steam in the radiology private-practice sector in 2013, a year in which the average size of the nation’s largest private practices increased from 46 full-time-equivalent (FTE) radiologist in 2012 to 50 in 2013. Administered by CliftonLarsonAllen and Radiology Business Journal, the sixth annual survey also revealed that the growth was fueled by the very largest practices (those with more than 65 FTE radiologists), with relatively insignificant median growth seen in the smaller-practice cohorts. The number of FTE radiologists and (if two practices had the same number of radiologists) FTE employees was the criteria used to rank practices in the online survey since financial information from private practices is confidential. By this measure, the practices ranked as follows: . 1  Radiology Associates of North Texas PA . 2  Advanced Radiology Services PC . 3  Integra Imaging PS . 4  Radia Medical Imaging . 5  Advanced Radiology PA . 6  Austin Radiological Association . 7  Charlotte Radiology . 8  University Radiology Group . 9  Radiology Imaging Consultants SC . 10  Fairfax Radiological Consultants PC . 11  Texas Radiology Associates . 12  Riverside Radiology & Interventional Associates . 13  Radiological Associates of Sacramento . 14  Mountain Medical Physician Specialists PC . 15  Clinical Radiologists SC . 16  Spectrum Medical Group . 17  Central Illinois Radiological Associates Ltd . 18  St Paul Radiology PA . 19  Consulting Radiologists Ltd . 20  Radiology Associates of South Florida PA . 21  South Texas Radiology Group PA . 22  Radiology Imaging Associates PC . 23  California Advanced Imaging Medical Associates Inc . 24  Suburban Radiologic Consultants . 25  Radiology Specialists of Florida . 26  Southwest Diagnostic Imaging LLC . 27  NRAD Medical Services PC . 28  Jefferson Radiology . 29  American Radiology Associates PA . 30  Wake Radiology . 31  Bay Imaging Consultants Medical Group Inc . 32  TRA Medical Imaging . 33  Diversified Radiology of Colorado PC . 34  Synergy Radiology Associates PA . 35  Radiology Inc (OH) . 36  Rhode Island Medical Imaging . 37  Singleton Associates . 38  Radiology Associates of Hollywood PA . 39  Desert Radiologists . 40  Radiology Associates of Florida PA . 41  Northwest Radiology Network PC . 42  Memphis Radiological PC . 43  Eastern Radiologists Inc . 44  Greensboro Radiology . 45  MBB Radiologists . 46  Radiology Associates of Richmond . 47  Drs Harris, Birkhill, Wang, Songe and Associates PC . 48  Quantum Imaging & Therapeutic Associates Inc . 49  Radiology Associates of Florida/Tower Radiology Center . 50  Medical Imaging of Lehigh Valley PC . 51  Radiology Alliance PC . 52  Medical Center Radiologists . 53  Commonwealth Radiology Associates . 54  Zwanger-Pesiri Radiology . 55  Mecklenburg Radiology Associates . 56  Huron Valley Radiology PC . 57  Quantum Radiology . 58  Milwaukee Radiologists Ltd SC . 59  South Jersey Radiology Associates PA . 60  Medical Diagnostic Imaging Group . 61  Asheville Radiology . 62  Renaissance Imaging Medical Associates . 63  Allegheny Radiology Associates Ltd . 64  Vista Radiology PC . 65  EVDI Medical Imaging . 66  Radiology Associates of the Fox Valley SC . 67  Northside Radiology Associates PC . 68  Medical Center Radiology Group . 69  Atlantic Medical Imaging LLC . 70  Greenville Radiology PA . 71  Advanced Diagnostic Imaging PC . 72  Hackensack Radiology Group . 73  Mid-South Imaging & Therapeutics PA . 74  Triad Radiology Associates . 75  Wisconsin Radiology Specialists SC . 76  Radiology Affiliates Imaging . 77  Radiology Ltd . 78  Summit Radiology PC . 79  Progressive Physician Associates Inc . 80  Radiology Associates of Clearwater PA . 81  Radiology Associates PA . 82  West County Radiological Group Inc . 83  Columbus Radiology Corp . 84  Sunshine Radiology LLC . 85  Radiology of Huntsville PC . 86  Akron Radiology . 87  United Imaging Consultants LLC . 88  Radiology Associates of Northern Kentucky PLLC . 89  ProScan Reading Services . 90  Advanced Radiology Consultants . 91  Lancaster Radiology Associates Ltd . 92  Radiology & Imaging Inc . 93  Radiology Consultants of Iowa . 94  Professional Radiology Inc . 95  Center Radiology PC . 96  Crouse Radiology Associates . 97  Boise Radiology Group . 98  California Medical Imaging (CMI) Radiology Group . 99  Radiological Associates of Albuquerque . 100  Radiology Inc (IN) . 101  Newport Harbor Radiology Associates Medical Group Inc Read the full report, including individual numbers of FTE radiologists by practice in the December issue of Radiology Business Journal.
