Detroit Hospitals Replace Long-Time Local Radiology Group
A Detroit hospital system has replaced a local radiology group with Imaging Advantage LLC, a Santa Monica-based radiology group that contracts nationally for imaging services.
The Detroit Medical Center ended its contract with the Reynold’s Group, a radiology group composed of physicians at the local medical school and private physicians that had served the medical center’s eight hospitals for 60 years, based on an article in Crain’s Detroit Business. Imaging Advantage is said to be negotiating long term contracts with former Reynold’s Group physicians.
Along with local employment contracts, Imaging Advantage will also provides teleradiology services for the larger system of 20 hospitals owned by parent company Vanguard Health System.
