Lantheus Medical Imaging Appoints New President/CEO

Lantheus Medical Imaging, Inc., developer of diagnostic imaging agents, has appointed Jeffrey A. Bailey as president and chief executive officer. Brian A. Markison, who joined Lantheus’ Board of Directors in September 2012, also has been appointed as Chairman of the Board. Bailey brings 26 years of leadership experience to Lantheus, having previously served as chief operating officer of Fougera Pharmaceuticals, chief commercial officer of King-Pfizer Pharmaceuticals, and president and general manager of Novartis Pharmaceuticals. Bailey will replace Donald Kiepert, who resigned from Lantheus to pursue other opportunities, according to the press release. “The rapidly evolving healthcare and medical imaging landscape continue to reshape how Lantheus does business and underscores the need to continue to innovate in order to remain competitive as a company,” said Bailey, President and CEO of Lantheus, in the press release.
