50-physician Vista Radiology inks partnership with Tennessee hospital system

Vista Radiology, a 50-physician practice in east Tennessee, has inked a partnership with a local hospital system.

The group will provide radiology services for Athens-based Starr Regional Medical Center and its affiliated locations, the two announced Jan. 31. Starr already offers an array of imaging services and recently installed new CT and MRI equipment at its main campus, propelling the need for reinforcements.

“This affiliation joins additional people to an already strong imaging team so Starr can strengthen the quality of care that our patients deserve,” hospital CEO John McLain said in an announcement.

The new machines will allow the hospital to deliver enhanced care at its breast center and via cardiovascular and surgical service lines. Vista Radiology will provide 24/7 support to the two-hospital system, which is part of the larger Lifepoint Health. The practice provides services across more than 15 partnering locations in east Tennessee.

“We are excited to partner with such a strong imaging team at Starr Regional Medical Center in delivering the best care to the Athens community,” Vista Administrator Aaron Shoopman said in the announcement.
