Kentucky community hospital inks partnership with Radiology Partners
A central Kentucky community hospital recently inked a partnership with imaging industry giant Radiology Partners.
Spring View Hospital, located in Lebanon about 63 miles southeast of Louisville, is teaming with RP effective Dec. 11, with the practice providing both on-site and remote radiology services.
Radiologist Robert Buck, MD, with RP’s Bluegrass division, will serve as clinical lead, and Steven Craig, MD, practice president of the RP Seal Team, also will support the integration phase. The latter provides on-site support to new practices that join RP, ensuring smooth integration and stabilization of services.
“This collaboration enhances our ability to deliver timely, accurate imaging services while supporting our physicians and care teams with advanced tools and consistent coverage,” Andrea Rogers, director of radiology at the 75-bed Spring View Hospital, said in an announcement shared by the Lebanon Enterprise. “We are confident this partnership will strengthen radiology services for our patients and improve workflow and collaboration across departments.”
Following the go-live date, Todd Bibens, MBA, a Rad Partners regional VP, will transition to overseeing long-term operational leadership. He’ll be joined by Karen Merritt, associate VP of operations and Jaclyn Scalf, MBA, practice director of operations, both part of the RP Bluegrass team. The announcement did not discuss who had previously provided radiology services at the more than 80-year-old institution.
“This partnership represents an important step forward in strengthening diagnostic services for our patients and providers,” Vicki Parks, CEO of Spring View Hospital, said in the announcement. “Radiology Partners brings national expertise, advanced technology and a shared commitment to clinical excellence that aligns with our mission to provide exceptional care close to home.”
Spring View serves a population of more than 55,000, with over 270 employees and a payroll of approximately $11.8 million. Its emergency room treats over 13,500 patients, and the hospital provides imaging services including MRI, CT, mammography and nuclear medicine. Radiology Partners, meanwhile, is the largest imaging group in the U.S. with over 4,000 physicians working at 3,400-plus sites in all 50 states. Backed by Whistler Capital Partners and New Enterprise Associates, RP established its Bluegrass team in 2022, now employing about 17 rads operating across all imaging subspecialties.
