Private equity firm invests in radiology services provider RadX Inc.

Private equity firm Kain Capital is putting its money toward a growing network of outpatient imaging centers now spanning six states.

The New York-based investment group announced Wednesday it is partnering with RadX Inc., which provides a range of diagnostic imaging services. Co-founded by radiologist, Chintan Desai, MD, RadX operates 26 imaging centers across Florida, Michigan, Maryland, Georgia, Tennessee and Alabama.

The imaging group will use the money to further expand its footprint, recruit additional radiologists and other operational talent, and invest in technology. RadX additionally plans to bolster its patients’ experience, along with pursuing “strategic growth opportunities across existing and adjacent markets.”

“Kain Capital shares our long-term vision for building a leading outpatient imaging platform grounded in clinical excellence, operational discipline and strong community relationships,” Desai said in a statement June 3. “We’re honored to partner with their team in this next phase of growth.”

RadX’s centers offer a broad range of imaging services, delivered in community-based outpatient settings. Kain Capital, meanwhile, is focused on general healthcare, providing capital, strategic support and technology to drive growth, improve access and reduce costs.

“RadX has built an impressive multistate platform led by an exceptional management team,” Kunal Kain, managing partner of Kain Capital, said in a statement. “We’re excited to partner with Dr. Desai, [Co-founder] Mona Patel, and the broader team as they continue scaling the platform.”
