Digirad closes DMS Health acquisition

Digirad Corporation, a Suwanee, Ga.-based developer and manufacturer of diagnostic imaging systems, announced this week that it has officially closed its acquisition of DMS Health Technologies. The deal, first announced back in October 2015, was for $36 million.

Academy of Radiology Research thanks Congress for increase in funding

The $1.1 trillion spending bill passed by Congress last week has earned high marks from numerous imaging societies, including the American College of Radiology and Medical Imaging & Technology Alliance. Now, the Academy of Radiology Research has also shown its support for the bill, applauding the $16.8 million increase in funding at the National Institutes of Health (NIH).

RSNA—Then and now

It was 40 years ago this year—on Nov. 30, 1975, to be precise—that RSNA put Chicago’s Palmer House Hilton in its rearview and moved its scientific assembly and annual meeting to McCormick Place.
