AmSurg makes $7.8 billion proposal to merge with TeamHealth

AmSurg, a Nashville, Tenn.-based operator of ambulatory surgery centers, has announced a $7.8 billion proposal to merge with TeamHealth in a stock-and-cash deal that would result in 50/50 ownership. According to AmSurg, the merger would create a network of more than 1,200 healthcare facilities and approximately 20,000 clinicians. 

RadNet acquires New York-based Diagnostic Imaging Group for $56.7 million

RadNet, one of the country’s largest operators of outpatient imaging centers, has announced that it acquired Diagnostic Imaging Group (DIG) for approximately $56.7 million and 1.5 million shares of RadNet stock.
