American College of Radiology seeking innovators with ‘Champions of Imaging’ contest
The American College of Radiology launched its new Champions of Imaging 3.0 contest on Tuesday, Nov. 19, seeking practices that are taking innovative approaches to delivering care.
ACR said the competition will allow imaging providers to highlight their use of the college’s 3.0 case studies to spark innovation in their own work. This first round of the contest will focus on the categories of clinical decision support and appropriate use criteria, with other topics to follow in the future.
According to an announcement, the goal of the contest is threefold—to improve patients’ outcomes and their experience, manage public health and increase the value of radiology in integrated care teams.
Those interested can submit nominations here, detailing how they’ve emulated, or improved upon, Imaging 3.0 case studies. ACR is accepting nominations until Feb. 28, 2020, with plans to highlight practices at its annual meeting in May.
Winners will be selected by both a panel of expert judges and a popular vote via social media, according to the announcement.
