Radiology provider LucidHealth names new chief financial, strategy officers
Private equity-backed radiology provider LucidHealth has named new chief financial and strategy officers as the organization seeks to pursue “strategic growth” in 2025.
Jim Moake is joining the Columbus, Ohio-based provider group as CFO effective Jan. 1. He has spent over 25 years in healthcare financial leadership, most recently as executive VP and CFO of Covenant Physician Partners—a national ambulatory surgery practice based in Nashville.
He’s joined by Jason Mullis, MBA, LucidHealth’s new chief strategy officer, who also has 25 years of healthcare management experience. He previously spent 10 years with Sound Physicians, a Tacoma, Washington-headquartered multispecialty group, where he served as senior VP of business development.
"As we grow our key leadership, we're excited to welcome both Jim and Jason to our team," LucidHealth CEO Steve Corbeil, MHA, said in a statement shared Jan. 23. "Their impressive backgrounds in strategy, growth-based initiatives in physician-led industries, and organizational development will serve LucidHealth well in 2025.”
As CFO, Moake will lead finance and accounting teams across multiple sites, “working to enhance profitability strategies, enterprise-wide growth objectives, and business analytics.” Barclay Ferguson, MBA, previously served as LucidHealth’s CFO for over two years before departing to take on the same title at the Mosaic Dental Collective in January 2024.
Meanwhile, as chief strategy officer, Mullis will oversee the company’s growth plans, with a focus on “enterprise expansion opportunities in key markets.” He replaces David Grau, who served as CSO from 2020 to 2023 before moving into the chief operating officer role in March 2024.
LucidHealth is one of the “largest physician-owned, outsourced providers of radiology services in the country.” The company was founded in 2016 with funds from private equity firm Excellere Partners. It now comprises more than 300 radiologists nationwide, with affiliated groups in Connecticut, Florida, Iowa, Ohio and Nevada.
