American Society of Radiologic Technologists elects 4 new officers
Members of the American Society of Radiologic Technologists have elected four new officers, the organization shared on Monday.
They’ll serve on the 2026-2027 ASRT Board of Directors, beginning their terms at the ASRT Annual Governance and House of Delegates Meeting, June 25 to 28. In their roles, the four volunteers will help to “advance and elevate the medical imaging and radiation therapy profession,” ASRT said.
Shellie Pike, MSRS, currently VP of the ASRT Board, has been named president-elect. She currently works as a registered radiologist assistant with Radiology Consultants of Iowa, Cedar Rapids.
“So proud to have been chosen by my fellow medical imaging and radiation therapy colleagues to continue serving the profession,” Pike said in a social media post Tuesday.
The other appointments include:
- Emily Cash, MBA, MHA, of Lexington, North Carolina, has been elected to serve as board VP. She is the imaging director at Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist in Winston Salem, North Carolina, and the current board treasurer.
- James Reaves, McDonough, Georgia, was elected to serve as ASRT secretary. He is an MRI and CT technologist with Northside Riverdale Imaging, Atlanta, and will be serving for the first time on the ASRT Board.
- And finally, Amanda Grocott, MBA, of Kindred, North Dakota, has been elected to serve as treasurer. She is a program director for the school of radiography at Sanford Medical Center, Fargo, and currently serves as secretary of the ASRT Board.
At the upcoming meeting, current ASRT President Brandon A. Smith, MBA, MSRS, of Houston, will be elevated to chair of the board. Meanwhile, ASRT President-elect Marissa Mangrum, MSRS, Choctaw, Oklahoma, will ascend to the role of president.
ASRT-eligible voting members selected officers and delegates during the 2026 ASRT election. Polls were open between Feb. 10 and March 3, with an independent election management service overseeing and certifying the results.
