Chinese Journal of Academic Radiology to launch in November

The Chinese Journal of Academic Radiology, a new peer-reviewed journal published by Springer, will launch in November alongside the 2018 Chinese Congress of Radiology (CCR) in Beijing. The journal is the first English-language publication to address general radiology in China.

Zheng Yu Jin, PhD, president of the Chinese Society of Radiology, will serve as the journal’s first editor-in-chief. Its international editorial board will include radiologists and other imaging experts. The publication will include original articles, review, editorials, short communications, technical note and letters to the editor.

The Chinese Journal of Academic Radiology provides a communication forum for all international scholars and radiologists in the area of clinical practice and translational research on imaging techniques including radiology, image-fused nuclear medicine and ultrasound,” the journal’s website states. “A comprehensive resource, it covers the latest findings and developments in the field of diagnostic imaging and image-guided interventional techniques.”

All articles will be open access in 2018 and 2019.

Around the web

News of an incident is a stark reminder that healthcare workers and patients aren’t the only ones who need to be aware around MRI suites.

The ACR hopes these changes, including the addition of diagnostic performance feedback, will help reduce the number of patients with incidental nodules lost to follow-up each year.

And it can do so with almost 100% accuracy as a first reader, according to a new large-scale analysis.
