Denise W. Hines joins HIMSS as Chief Americas Officer
The Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society (HIMSS) has announced the appointment of Denise W. Hines, DHA, PMP, to their executive leadership team as Chief Americas Officer (CAO).
“I am thrilled to have Denise join our Executive Leadership Team,” Hal Wolf, president and CEO of HIMSS, said in a prepared statement. “Having worked directly with Denise through the years, we are so honored to have her operational experience and passion for HIMSS contributing every day to our mission of reforming the global health ecosystem by leveraging the power of information and technology.”
As CAO, Hines will oversee strategy and leadership to HIMSS’ services across North America, including professional development and membership initiatives. Additionally, Hines will manage specific initiatives including Women in Health IT.
Hines currently serves as the CEO of health technology consulting firm eHealth Services and is the executive director of the Georgia Health Information Network (GaHIN). She is also a current member of the HIMSS Board of Directors and the Chair Emeritus for the HIMSS North America (HNA) Board of Directors.
“Throughout my career, I have been dedicated to improving health through the unceasing value of technology and innovation,” Hines said in the same statement. “As CAO, I have the opportunity to do this work on a much larger scale and am excited to contribute—in a new way—to the achievement of HIMSS’s strategic vision and the advancement of health and wellness in North America.”
