Konica Minolta Healthcare Americas has named a new president and chief executive officer.
Fumihiko Hayashida assumed the role on Friday, April 1, taking over for the retiring David Widmann. Prior to filling the CEO role, Hayashida was president of Konica Minolta’s Brazilian healthcare operations, overseeing “significant” successes during the previous three years.
“I look forward to working with the exceptional team that David has assembled to continue our growth across the Americas…,” he said in a statement.
“Fumi” first joined Konica Minolta in 2014 as global manager for all overseas sales operations. In the CEO post, he’ll be asked to accelerate the company’s advancements in digital radiography, ultrasound, and health IT solutions. As part of the changeover, Hayashida plans to relocate to the company’s headquarters in Wayne, New Jersey.
