Nominations for annual RADxx Awards now open

RAD Women (RADxx), a professional group for women in the radiology and imaging informatics industries, announced that nominations are now officially open for its annual RADxx Awards.

The awards were created to recognize both substantial achievements by women and anyone—men or women—who have helped support the advancement of women in their careers.

The categories for this year’s RADxx Awards include:

  • RADxx Trailblazer: This individual is a “pioneering leader in informatics” and has been in the industry for at least 10 years.
  • RADxx Advocate: This individual—man or woman—has helped “support and further the advancement of women in imaging informatics.”
  • RADXX Champion: This individual has sponsored the career development of women in imaging informatics.
  • RADxx Rising Star: This individual represents “the next generation of women leaders in imaging informatics.”

Information from RADxx on how to submit is available here. Winners will be announced at RSNA 2019 in Chicago.

“We can't believe the support RADxx has gained over the past three years,” Geraldine McGinty MD, MBA, RADxx co-founder and chief strategy and contracting officer for the Weill Cornell Medicine Physician Organization, said in a prepared statement. “We look forward to seeing the outpouring of submissions from our community.”
