Radiology Leadership Institute accepting nominations for 2018 awards

The Radiology Leadership Institute (RLI) is accepting nominations for the 2018 Leadership Luminary Awards given to “outstanding radiology professionals” to celebrate lifetime achievements in leadership and innovation. Nomination forms must be submitted by March 2.

“The RLI is proud to recognize outstanding leaders who have advanced the science or practice of diagnostic radiology or radiation oncology,” Frank J. Lexa, MD, MBA, RLI chief medical officer and chair of the American College of Radiology (ACR) Commission on Leadership and Practice Development, said in a released statement. “This honor recognizes distinguished individuals who have shown extraordinary leadership in our field. I strongly encourage our members to submit nominations for professionals who meet the requirements for this prestigious award.”

To be selected as a recipient, candidates “must demonstrate an unusually high level of leadership” and exhibit qualities such as visionary leadership, motivation/inspirational leadership, integrity, generativity and creativity. They must also have contributed to the radiology community through engagement in professional and leadership achievements.

Award recipients will be recognized at the 2018 RLI Leadership Summit to be held at Babson College in Wellesley, Massachusetts, Sept. 7-9.
