Radiology Partners appoints Joseph C. Mello to its board of directors

Radiology Partners announced this week that Joseph C. Mello had been appointed to the company’s board of directors. Mello currently works with HealthCare Partners, a division of DaVita Healthcare Partners, as chief operating officer.

“We are very excited to welcome Joe to our board,” Rich Whitney, Radiology Partners chairman and CEO, said in a prepared statement. “He will be a great asset to our practice, not only for his extensive experience in scaling successful healthcare businesses, but also due to his background in integrated care and capitated payment models, leadership development, and culture building. He will be invaluable as we continue to significantly expand our practice and seek to enhance the role of radiology within our changing healthcare system.”

William R. Brody, MD, PhD, a radiologist and professor emeritus at the Salk Institute for Biological Studies in La Jolla, Calif., also recently joined the Radiology Partners board of directors. The company says these recent additions will “help guide the development of industry leading best practices, technology and quality improvement programs.”
